III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII • Ooc Qa1e'1y1112Dp1 ~~ APPLICATION FOR PERMIT UNDER THE COLORADO SURFACE COAL MINING RECLAMA- TION ACT Introduction Kerr Coal hereby applies to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for a permit to conduct surface coal mining and reclamation operations. This application is submitted pursuant to the requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979, C.R.S. 1973, Section 34-33-101 et sec. ("the Act"). All of the information required for a permit under the Act is contained in the accompanying Permit application. Rather than repeat and thus greatly prolong this application, Kerr Coal has, instead, cross- : referenced those provisions of the Act defining the required information for a permit application to those parts or sections of this application containing the revelant information. By these cross-references Kerr Coal incorporates here the information contained in the cross-referenced section. As of the filing date of this Permit application final regulations im- plementing the Act have only recently been issued. Kerr Coal will, after consultation with the Mined Land Reclamation Division, submit such additional or supplemental information as may be necessary and appropri- ate to effect compliance with the applicable portions of these regula- tions.
