<br />There are many reasons that the Benson proposal should not be approved. <br />Among the most compelling are their misrepresentation of the area and their <br />potential impact upon it. If they are so casual as to fail to mention residences in <br />the area and to characterize it as it might have been decades ago, can their <br />analysis of potential impacts be of any relevance? The hazards are very real. <br />The reassurances are unconvincing at best. <br />I hope that the Benson proposal will be denied. Failing that, a proper study of its <br />geological impacts must be made.
