• additional disturbances ere contemplated; however, should the need arise to disturb
additional areas, site clearing end topsoil salvage would be performed during the periods
indicated in Figure 17-1.
Bee kfilling and grading activities (Tab 76) could be performed anytime during the year if
ground conditions permit (Figure 17-1).
Topsoil material redistribution end associated suitability determinations (Tab )9) follow
the same timetable ae salvage operations (Figure 17-1). If ground conditions permit,
topsoil materiels may be redistributed in months other than the primary months indicated.
Tillage and seedbed preparation (when necessary), cover cropping, and seeding ere conducted
in the next favorable planting season after topsoil redistribution, weather permitting (see
Teb 20). Therefore, the schedule for these activities will parallel the topsoil
redistribution schedule.
Fence construction (if necessary) is generally performed from April to November (Figure
77-I).
• Maintenance and management activities ere conducted throughout the year, weather and
snowpeck conditions permitting. The timing of these activities is dependent upon the
specific activity. Fence maintenance and trespass livestock removal is generally conducted
from mid-Spring through the Fell. Interseeding or reseeding is conducted in the next
favorable planting season following recognition for the need to conduct these activities.
Erosion monitoring is conducted in accordance with the Stormwater Nanegement Plen (after
snowmelt and heavy rains), with any required repairs carried out from late spring through
fall. The operations outlined above will be completed in winter months es well when mild
weather persists. Under normal conditions, the schedules, as presented, ere followed.
Pro ieeted Reclamation Schedules
The facility was constructed from Fell 1972 to 1979 resulting in a reported estimate of 54
acres of disturbance associated with the handling facilities, office, coal stockpiles,
railroad spur/loop, end access road (see Permit Application for Permit No. C•BO-003 et
Volume 7, Section Z.OS end Permit Decision Documents).
