PUBLIC NOTICE
Las Animas County, 200 East First Street, Room 104, Trinidad, CO 81082; [phone], has
filed an application for a Reclamation Permit with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board
under provisions of the Colorado Land Reclamation Act for the Extraction of Construction
Materials. The proposed mine is known as the Castillo Gravel Pit and is located at or near Section
32, Township 33, Range 65, 6th Prime Meridian.
The proposed date of commencement is June 1, 2000 and the proposed date of completion is June
1, 2015. The proposed future use of the land is rangeland.
Additional information and tentative decision date may be obtained from the Division of Minerals
and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 [phone] or at the Las
Animas County Clerk and Recorder's Office, 200 East First Street, Room 205, Trinidad, CO
81082. A complete copy of the application is available at the above-named County Clerk and
Recorder's Office and at the Division's office.
Comments concerning the application and exhibits must be in writing and must be received by the
Division of Minerals and Geology by 4:00 P.M. on May 22, 2000.
