~]
operations should be limited or non-existent.
The noise and human activities associated with the mining operation will no doubt move
the deer away from the area during operation. However, that does not preclude them from
returning to the area once the operation has been shut down in the evenings. The noise and
human activities will have a' much greater impact on the eagles if the mining continues into the
winter months.
Overall, the mining operation should have limited short-term effects on the wildlife
species that use the area. This is of course assuming that the site will be adequately reclaimed
and that the lands use remains agricuRurel. If you have any questions, please feel free to
contact me.
cc: M.
