Train/Truck Loadout Facility. Coal transported to the top of the unit train loading facility is <br />discharged into a surge bin. This bin is necessary to provide continuous loading and perm~.t the <br />cutoff of coal tlow between cars. Continuous coal sampling is providing by an ASTm sampling syscem • <br />as coal is discharged from the 60-inch wide elevating belt conveyor. A four-Soot-square, air- <br />operated guillotine gate was installed horizontally at the surge bin discharge opening. A <br />[elescoping loading chute was provided for uniform loading of cars and installed independently and <br />below the guillotine gate. This chute can be [ransversed to a position outside the loading <br />structure to provide adequate clearance Eor unit [rain locomotive passage. <br />The addition of Haul Road HGLF-HR2 will allow the loading of trucks from the loadout. Trucks will <br />pull up under the loading chute, similar to a rail car, to be loaded for truck haulage of coal.. <br />Operation.
