The framework-of~the walls of the eollapse:d structure <br />consists of axe cut aspen poles as well as milled lumber, while the roof was <br />constructed coley of axe cut aspen poles. Both walls sad the pole roof were faced <br />with sheet metal. Both round and square nails were used in construction. Three <br />upright axe cut timbers, to which planks of sawcut, milled lumber were nailed and <br />wired horizontally, were also present. These Holes appear to have been part of <br />the root support structure for a low shed, probably used by livestock (sheep). <br />To the north of the shed is a corral, which is also located in the excavated area <br />and is part of this feature. The corral is almost totally destroyed. Construction <br />techniques are unknown. The concentration of historic debris associated with <br />and surrounding Feature 1 measured 30 m (N-S) by 15 m (E-W). Materials observed <br />included a curved, probably strapped, trunk lid constructed of say-cut wood (preseat'~~ <br />showing no evidence of paint) with edges bound in.scalloped brass fittings, another <br />Croak fragment (side portion), to which was fastened a rusted hinge and part of a <br />
