Box 2271
Glenwood Springs, CO 81602
Re: Bermingll.aadscapc Plan for Mamm Creek
Dear John:
N0.592 P.3i1
[ em witting to confirm our conversation of earlier today re; the screening plan on the
Snyder portion of the Mamm Creek pit.
As we have discugsed previously, much of the wetlands mitigation will occur east of the
large hill and in close proximity to the slough area The Army Corps of Engineers has
indicated that it would like to see at least a portion of this mitigation occur through
replacement of riparian habitat. The applicam would also prefer to mitigate the wetlands
impacts as much es possible with riparian materials such as those listed on Sheet 1 of the
Berming and Landscaping Plan. A final plan with the Corps should be available later
this year providing more specific details on this mitigation. The applicant will also agree
to provide additional riparian vegetation in the area adjacent to the main access drive east
of the hill to help screen this portion of the project. The riparian materials ~rsed here
will be from the plant list as shown on the Berthing and Landscaping Plan.
The applicant also agrees to provide an application rate of 15001bs./acre of straw mulch
to the seeded areas, rather than the 10001bs./acre as previously stated.
Tbank you and please contact me if you have any further questions or concerns.
Siffn~~cerely, 1
~1 P
Stephen R.
