Based upon our review of the information presented therein, LPEA
does offer its concurrence with the proposed project, solely conditioned
upon the following:
1) The westernmost edge of the proposed road (being the westernmost
edge of the borrow ditch and/or shoulder) crossing under our power line will
be shifted 15' east of the proposal, thereby being no closer than 25' to the
power pole (graveled road surface to be no closer than 28' to the power
pole). This shift will still provide more than ample vertical clearance for
vehicles on the road underneath the power line, based upon the maximum
vehicle height of 20', as represented in the SW Land letter.
2) AGRI-DLD will install large, well marked signs on the road approach
both north and south of the power line stating: "CAUTION-OVERHEAD HIGH
VOLTAGE POWER LINE, MAXIMUM VEHICLE HEIGHT 22 FEET".
3) LPEA (and not AGRI-DLD, as stated in the SW Land letter) will
install, at AGRI-DLD cost, orange marking balls on the power line.
4) AGRI-DLD must contact LPEA prior to starting development of the
gravel pit project so that the marking balls can be installed, LPEA can
supervise the road construction under the power line, and so LPEA can
approve the required signs.
Should you need anything further, please give me a call at 382-3512.
Sincerely,
Randall J.
