EXHIBIT D
RECLAMATION PLAN
Mining is anticipated to begin near the midpoint along the south line with the topsoil
initially being stripped from the southwest 3 acres and being placed in the southeast 1
acre. It is not anticipated that any topsoil will be replaced before a minimum of 50% of
the site has been mined.
The maximum gradient for the final exterior slopes created will be 2:1 or flatter as
specified by the NRCS Guide Sheet (attached). When completed final surfaces have
been created, the topsoil will be loosely applied to a depth of 8 to 10 inches. Fertilizer
will be applied at a rate of 40 pounds of nitrogen and 40 pounds of phosphate per acre
just prior to seeding. Seeding will take place between June 15 and July I5.
The seed mix will be 4 pounds of Western Wheat grass, 2'/z pounds of Crested Wheat
grass, 2'/z pounds of Russian Wild rye, 1 pound of Yellow Sweet Clover and 3 pounds of
Smooth Brome per acre to be reclaimed, as per the NRCS recommendation, based on a
broadcast and harrowed planting method. The seeded area will be mulched with small
grain straw at a rate of 1500 pounds per acre.
Total Reclamation cost for the site is estimated to be $12,002.20 as shown on page two of
this Exhibit.
