There should be no need to remove any topsoil for use in reclamation, first because the
major disturbance will occur in the river bed, and second because of the left over topsoil
already in place from use of the azea prior. Should any topsoil need to be salvaged it will
be removed to a depth of 5 inches stockpiled as close to the present stockpiles and
allowed to covered with vegetation to hold it in place to help prevent erosion.
EXHIBIT D
Reclamation Plan
Reclamation of the azea will consist of re-seeding those parts of the bank that maybe
disturbed by the stockpiling of material only. The material will be removed from the
riverbed and as such no reclamation will be needed in the riverbed its self as there is no
vegetation present. The ground will be disked, sloped where needed to 3:1 or less and the
recommended seed applied to the bank area that the Soil Conservation office
recommends, along with any amendments that may also be required to the soil. There is
at present a ranch road that will be re-cutting and graded in and will be left after
reclamation. This site will be in part of and older azea one which was not reclaimed as
there were no rules in effect at the time for reclamation. Those azeas of prior mining will
be reworked and used as much as possible in the new permitted area, that does include
two stockpiles of soil and one of material.
EXHIBIT F
Other Permits
The county will be applying fora 404 permit, but it may not be required per a court
order: to wit; Solid Waste Aeencv of Northern Cook County v. U.S. Armv Corps of
Engineers, #99.1178 (January 9, 2001. As well as the required APEN permit form the
Department of Health.
EXHIBIT H
Municipalities Within two miles
There aze no Municipalities with two miles of the operation. The nearest town is Limon
approx 15 miles southeast of the azea. Best route is I-70 to Genoa, north on 109 to CR 3T
east on 3T approx 5 miles area located on the north side of the road.
EXHIBIT L
There are no manmade structures within 200 feet of the operation.
