Exhibit "C" -- Mining Plan
This is an existing quarry site, that was permitted by
us until 1999 when we released it to expand our other quarry
site. There has been mining at this site off and on for 90 years.
There are two types of stone that were quarried at this site
30 to 40 years ago, they are Dolomite and sandstone. The quarries
that we are reopening are the sandstone quarries.
The north permit area encompasses the full valley area where
the exposed stone wall of the old quarry is located covering 1/2
of the east ridge and the full ridge to the west.
The south permit area is approximatly 1000 feet due south
of the north area. It also is an any old quarry site, with the
new permit covering the ridge above and below the existing site.
We will need to remove approximatly 500 tons of dolomite
overburden and will use it for road fill on the site.
A. Estimated mining dates are 9/1/00 to 01/01/2100
B. Soil in the mining site is minimal, a very rocky/sandy
material with very little topsoil on site.
C. All soils/overburden will be removed to expose the
stone, it will be pushed to the base of the hill and be
leveled off to use as a work/storage platform. This is where
it will be stored until needed to reclaim the quarry. The
present thickness of the overburden/soil is estimated to
range from 1° to 36" .
D. Estimated thickness of the deposit is 40 to 60 feet
8. Major components of the mining site are the existing
roadway and the existing quarry.
F.Existing quarry site has one high wall about 35 feet long
by 12 feet high and a small rubbel pile 10 by 30 feet, 4
feet deep. The south site has a partial roadway leading to
it and a very small 10' by 10' disturbed area.
G. No new roads planned or improvments
H. No water used in operation
I. No water sources on site
J. N/A
R. N/A
L. Hydrologic balance should not be affected by operations
M. No material will be processed on site
N. Primary material to be mined is sandstone for building
materials. Secondary material is Dolamite is only a
by-product and will only be used as fill on-site.
O.
