For Reclamation Bond Calculations see Exhibit "E".
Measures to be taken to Prevent or Control Fire, Soil, Erosion, Pollution
of Surface and Ground Water, Pollution of Air, Damage to Wildlife or
Livestock, Damage to other Natural Resources, and Hazards to pubiic Health
and Safety. Each drill will be equipped with the necessary fire fighting
equipment, that is, fire extinguishers and shovels. If the area should
become excessively dry, and the fire potential becomes too great, the
drilling will be postponed until conditions improve.
Soil erosion will be controlled by the following methods: All proposed
drill sites will be located such that none of them will require traversing
steep slopes with the drilling equipment; use of existing roads and trails
will be made to the fullest extent; should the area receive excessive
• moisture or if excessive thaw should occur, drilling operations will be
halted until the area is adequately dry or the ground is again frozen.
All trash will be hauled to a public dump
of trash in the field to contribute to a
rigs and motor vehicles in the area will
reduce the air and noise pollution. All drill
be required to have mufflers to
equipment shall be removed from
all phases of exploration and
Complete cooperation will be given to local surface owners in regard to
livestock and/or cultivated croplands, that is, drilling operations wilt
be kept away or postponed from any area where drilling could present a
potential danger to livestock operations, such as the spring lambing
season, or the destruction of crops.
