RPR-28-2005 08:00 FROM:GILPI"' ~YTY MGR
Mr::Phil Wolf
Under the Slate. 'In order'to'getaccess'tb S1i;119, auxiliary
lanes will need t'o be provided, 'depending on 'the amount `of vehicles: in "the' peak-hour
accessing the property. Since a`speciCic site plan has not been prepared; it was assumed that
a southbound left-turn.deceleratibn~lane:(ten vehicles in the peak-hour threshold), a.north-
bound right-turn decelerationlaae (25.vehicles in the peak-hour threshold), and anorthbound
right-turn acceleration lane (50 vehicles in the peak-hour) will be required. A redirect taper
will also be required along'SH 119:on both sides of the access. Figure 2 depicts the proposed
intersection layout for flue access which shows the length of the auxiliary lanes as well as.the
tapers.
This location appears to have adequate sight distance. For lazge.trucks, the required sight
distance is 690 feet looking to the south and 920 feet looking to the: north. These distances
have been adjusted for a four percent downgrade running from the northwest to the southeast.
The enclosed photos indicate that sight distance is more then 1,000 feet in each direction.
Sincerely,
ISC Transportation Consultant ~• •.
- ~~1498
L ~ ~ •
sy:
•
Alex J. llo, P.E., I?,T,O _.,._ : ,
AJA/wc
Attachments: Figures 1 and 2
Photos
Access Permits
AJA/wc
cc: Alex Schatz, Hanks Bs Gesso
z:1 ise\ rm~e[ts\zoo~ \oao i'+o\~a-wovncceA+.wpe
