$r 7 <br />To: 1'om Kruger <br />From: Nan Bedau <br />Date: 6/30/05 <br />RE: Piedras de la Florida Class II permit Gravel Pit <br />Engineering has the following corrunents concerning this project <br />These are preliminary comments (additional comments ntay follow after review by Ptamting Engineer). <br />Prior to PC consideration: <br />tl The traffic report shall be revised to include concrete/asphalt operations and a smtcmral analysis of the <br />road shall be submitted (esal impact to the road cross section including shoulders). Boring of road and <br />shoulders will be required. <br />B. The narrative and constmction drawings shall be revised to include the gas pipeline. <br />C. It appears that additional county road rights-of--way shall be required for the decel lane. The plans shall <br />be revised to show a 3' asphalt shoulder and t' gravel shoulder. Documentation shall be submitted that <br />adjoining landowner is willing to grant the additional rights-of--way (actual dedication shall be required <br />prior to issuance of the Class II permit). <br />D. The site plan shall be revised to show accessway to the adjoining north lot, litnits of construction on the <br />county road, track maneuver analysis for a WB 50 at the curves and comer of CR 309 & site, circulation <br />for trucks entering site going to pit (verification that stacking will not occur within rights-of-way). <br />Prior to BOCC consideration: <br />A. The source of water shall be approved by the Division of Water Resources. Information regardhrg <br />quantity shall be submitted (additional comments tray follow after submittal). <br />B. 100% construction drawings shall be provided. The plans shall also include profile, cross sections, <br />drainage, culverts (calculation for size of pipes), gravel cross section, stripping, signage, and limits of [he <br />retaining wall. A grading plan shall be submitted for the commercial area (additional comment may follow <br />submittal). <br />C. The county attorney shall be contacted for the necessary easement dedication to the County. The <br />applicant shall provide exhibits for easements. <br />D. An agreement to mitigate the traffic impacts shell be reached between the applicant and staff. <br />E. A geohazard analysis of the area that the road crossed shall be submitted (also a copy shall be sent to the <br />road design engineer for his review). <br />After consideration by the BOCC and prior to issuance of the Class II perntit <br />A. The Division of Minerals & Geology permit shall approved by the State and approved DMG plans <br />submitted to our department. <br />B. A development improvements agreement shall be executed with [he county. <br />C. The standard right-to-work in the County rights-of-way license and road unprovements agreement steal] <br />be executed. <br />D. Engineered signed and stamped construction drawing and traffic study shall be provided. <br />P. The rights-of--way easements shall be dedicated to the county and recorded. <br />
