Colorado Avenue
Denver, Colorado 80210
RE: Submittal of Corrective Action Work Requested by the Division,
Transit Mix Concrete, Daniel's Sand Pit No. 2, Permit No. M-73-007
Dear Mr. Heifner;
On November 29, 1991 the Division received your response to the corrective
action requested for this operation. As part of the information required for
an assessment of the financial warranty, the Division had requested all
stockpiles located inside the permit area be accounted for to reflect material
volumes. In your response, you stated that you were not going to have Leigh
Whitehead & Associates, the consultants working on the project, tabulate piles
of less than 100 cubic yards due to the small volume of the piles and time
constraints.
The Division requires all material stockpiles be accounted for, in an effort
to adequately bond the site for reclamation purposes. Since Transit Mix
Concrete has recently obtained a new aerial photgraph, it should not be
difficult to enumerate these piles and provide a rough estimate of volume.
Should Transit Mix Concrete not wish to provide these volume estimates, the
operator may, as an alternative, provide a listing of the number of piles.
The Division will then assign a value of 100 cubic yards to each one. Please
be sure to include in your tabulation any new material stockpiles, regardless
of size, created since the aerial photograph was taken.
The operator should also be advised that the information requested in
the inspection report of September 19, 1991 and subsequent letter of
November 1, 1991 was due November 30, 1991. We realize the magnitude of this
undertaking, and appreciate your cooperation.
If yru .have additicnai questions pr roncer-5
plea52 C31i.
Sincerely,

Berhan Keffele~w
Reclamation Specialist
BK/eke/9716F
cc: Daniel I.
