We are including for <br />your u:se the complete Regular Operations application for a 112 permit <br />' as administered by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division, This <br />applic+ation will fully describe our proposed use of mining and the <br />final reclamation as proposed. Any additional information as <br />requested by the Weld County Procedural Guide will be addressed in <br />this letter. Please find enclosed a complete application and <br />applic.3tion fee. <br /> <br />i <br />1 <br /> <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The proposed mining operation is consistent with the Weld County <br />Comprehensive Plan. The pit is necessary to provide aggregate to <br />C&M's concrete plants in Weld, Adams, and Boulder Counties and for <br />construction materials for the I-25 Hixed Use Development area. The <br />subject property is adjacent to the I-25 MUD area. The proposed use <br />is consistent with the intent of the District, since this area <br />contains a valuable resource and will be restored to a beneficial use. <br />The reclaimed after use is pond and pastureland, which is compatible <br />with adjacent agriculture uses. The St. Vrain "Corridor" is of <br />interest in this area for passive recreational uses. This reclamation <br />plan does not limit any recreational potentials. This operation will <br />not adversely impact the agricultural economy of the County, and the <br />water rights of other irrigation users will be protected. <br />The Reclamation Plan shows mining will have a large setback (1/4 mile) <br />from the County road to allow reclamation and continued use as <br />pastureland. This reclamation scheme is consistent with existing land <br />uses <<s well as anticipated proposed land uses.
