MINED LA~ NILDLIFE STATEMENT/EVALU~ON (Revised) <br />for limited impact and select regular mine applications <br />The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided for <br />use by Mined Land Reclamation Board in their consideration of a <br />mining permit for: <br />CUSTER COUNTY GRAVEL PIT (M-093) <br />Name/Type and Location of Mine (Legal) <br />wildlife Species List: Pronghorn antelope, white-tailed <br />jackrabbit, thirteen-lined ground squirrel, lark bunting, horned <br />lark, meadowlark, coyote. <br />Endangered/Critical species/impacted: None known. <br />Critical Habitats/Vegetative Communities Impacted: The site is <br />characterized by shortgrass prairie with no known critical <br />vegetative communities present. <br />Assessment of Impact: will impact 40 total acres of shortgrass <br />prairie but with phased mining and concurrent reclamation <br />disturbance can be mimimized. <br />Hine Reclamation Recommendations (include key species/habitats for <br />which restoration is designed): Reclaim with warm season native <br />perennial species per S.C.S. specifications. Temporarily seed <br />stock-piled topsoil to prevent loss from wind and water erosion. <br />Exclude livestock from the site until proper vegetative reclamation <br />is achieved.
