<br />EXHIBIT G <br />WATER INFORMATION <br />Verv little water is expected to be needed at the site. The only possible uses for water imagined would be <br />for drinking or for dust control. <br />Am' drinking water wilt be hauled to the site via jug from potable water sources in the town of Westcliffe. <br />It is anticipated that water maybe requued from time to time for dust control. >f mid when it is required it <br />will be sprayed over the area using a watering truck and again obtained from city sources, probabh• from <br />the Count' Shops area which is also in the town of Westcltffe. <br />No wells will be drilled at the site for water use. The adjacent landfill has numerous observation wells <br />and several of them are immediately adjacent to the subject area. <br />No ground water will be encountered on the site as projected from information provided in the following <br />referenced report far the adjacent landfill ("Revised Engineering Design and Operations Report For <br />Proposed Custer Count}' Solid Waste Disposal FaciliR Custer County, Colorado", by Cmlder Associates <br />Inc.. 2(10 Union Boulevard, Suite 500, Lakewood. Colorado 80228, dated October 20. 1993), see the <br />following quotes: <br />Page 2, Section 1.3, Paragraph ~: "Groundwater monitoring wells installed at the site did not encounter <br />groundwater to depths of up to 76 ft., as discussed in Section 2.2.2.2 of this document Nearby domestic <br />n•ells indicate the average depth to the uppermost aquifer at the site is 252 feel below the ground surface <br />(ranging from 229 to 275 feet), although other site vicinip boreholes up to 380 feet have been dry." <br />The gravel pit will incorporate surface water channels to control ninon to the facilit} and direct surface <br />water mnoff away from the site. The channels will direct flow away from the site to low lying areas <br />southwest of the pit work area. Currently the adjacent landfill area is partially drained onto the subject <br />propem~. Channels from the landfill will be extended and used to drain off the pit area also. <br />The average annual precipimtion at the sue is less than sixteen (16) inches. <br />
