' EXHIBIT "G"
WATER INFORMATION
The nearest surface water system is the Orchard Mesa Canal No. 2.
Since the applicant is certain that there will not be a need for dewatering
t during mining operations, it is anticipated that impacts to the Canal will
be mi~umal.
Because this site will mined under dry conditions the applicant does
not see the need iii applying for a NPDES Discharge Permit.
Water for dust control will be purchased by the applicant from the
nearest commercial source. Estirr:ated water requirements of approximately
10, 000 gpd will be met by the applicant by hauling with a water wagon
vehicle. Using 10,000 gpd it is estimated that annual project requirements
' of Z. ~ million gallons of water will satisfy project requirements.
Storm water runoff will be dix•ected toward natuT•al drainage ways during
the excavation and mining operation.
1 Active water wells and springs are not px•esetit in or a~~ound the affected
area.
' Material injury to senior water rights is not anticipated in the mining
and reclamation phases because of the inherent dry condition of the site.
1

1
1
1
1
1
