Boyce and a strip of land 50 feet
wide along the South and East boundaries of Rancho Rosado will be
deeded from Gary C. and Joanne S. Boyce to Saguache County. (This
road has already been constructed by the county)
The gravel and base material on existing County Road 66T will
then be excavated for aggregate material and that area will be
used as a topsoil stockpile area for the duration of the project.
In 1992 old County Road 66T will be excavated for aggregate
material. Topsoil from 66T will be stockpiled on Area VIII.
During the entire mining operation, topsoil stockpiles will be
seeded and protected from erosion.
In 1994 topsoil stockpiles from Area VIII will be removed and
placed on 66T. Area VIII will be graded and seeded. Also the
plant area will be graded and seeded. This will conclude the
mining operation.
Rancho Rosado has 10.5 CFS of water (priorities 1 ~ 2) out of San
Isabel Creek, enabling sufficient water to irrigate the
revegetated areas.
During any one year of mining operations, no more than 5 acres of
the pit should be under major disturbance classification.
, ~,; ,
.. ~ is ii'
f
