3. Mechanical Method
Special equipment is manufactured specifically for this ~~urpose;
however, the job can be accomplished with various tools. A
regular farm disc normally does a good job of anchoring mulch
into the soil. For best results, the soil shou]d be moist
and free of rocks. Set disc straight so that a minimun amount
of soil will be disturbed. Depth of cut should be 3 to 4
inches.
