Freauencv and Sample Tvoe <br />In order to obtain an indication of the probable compliance or nonwmpliance with the effluent limitations specified in <br />Pan I.A.1, the permittee shall monitor all effluent pazameters at the following frequencies. Such monitoring will begin <br />immediately and last for the life of the permit unless otherwise noted. Weekly <br />Total Dissolved Solids, mgJP Quarterly <br />Whole Effluent Toxici[y, Acute Quarterly <br />Sample Tvoe <br />Instantaneous <br />or Continuous <br />Grab <br />Grab <br />Grab <br />Visual-See Part I.B.1.(c) <br />In-situ <br />Grab <br />Sample Tvoe <br />Instantaneous <br />or Continuous <br />Grab <br />Grab <br />Visual-See Pan I.B.1.(c) <br />In-situ <br />Grab <br />Grab <br />Self-monitoring sampling by the pettttittce for compliance with the monitoring requirements specified above shall be <br />performed at the following locatioms: surface runoff outfalls -007, prior to entering Hubbard Creek; 009, 013 and O14, <br />prior to entering the Notch Fork of the Gunnison River; 010, prior to entering Sanbom Creek; 012, prior to entering Elk <br />Creek; and the thine water outfall - Ol 1, prior to entering Sanbom Crcek. <br />If the permittee, using the approved analytical methods, monitors any parameter more frequently than required by this <br />permit, then the results of such monitoring shall be included in the calculation and reporting of the values required in [he <br />Dischazge Monitoring Report Form (DMRs) or other forms as required by the Division. Such increased frequency shall <br />also be indicated. <br />Outfall 007 Monitoring Exemption: The permittce is exempted from monitoring at outfall 007 during periods when <br />access would be hazardous to personnel. For each reporting period that an exemption is requested, the permittce shall <br />provide written documentation of the conditions and specific periods during which access was restricted. The Division <br />will review this documentation and determine if an exemption is justified. If safe access is possible during a portion of a <br />reporting period, the pettnittce shall imspcet the discharge at the specified frequencies. <br />(c) Oil and Grease Monitorine <br />. For every ou[fall with oil and grease monitoring, in the even[ an oil sheen or floating oil is observed, a grab sample <br />shall be collected, analyzed, and reported on the appropriate DMR. [n addition, corective action shall be [aken <br />immediatcly to mitigate the discharge of oil and grease.
