NORTHWEST COLORADO CONSULTANTS, INC. <br />• <br />~~ <br />Project: Haul Road Y-A <br />Location: Hayden, Colorado <br />Client: Seneca Coal Company <br />Work Performed: <br />Project No.: 95-2384 <br />Report No.: 15 <br />Date: 916/95 <br />Time: 2.0 <br />Mileage: 30 <br />EngrJTech: JK <br />As requested, we visited the project site and conducted nuclear density test No.'s 40 and 41 on the material being <br />placed for subgrade fill. <br />Ai the time of our visit, the contractor was cutting fill material north of Sta. 60+00 to Sta. 65+00 and plaang and <br />compacting material from Sta. 74+00 to Sta. 78+00. <br />Remarks: <br />The material tested generally met project specifications with moisture contents being 5.3% and 1.0%, respectfully, <br />under optimum. Material cut from borrow areas appeared to have adequate moisture. Test No. 40 showed low <br />moisture content, as it was taken approximately 24 hours after placement. <br />Please refer to the attached sheet for results of today's testing. <br />Verbal Discussions: <br />Chuck McCulloh of Seneca Coal Co. was notified of today's test results. <br /> <br />
