NORTHWEST COLORADO CONSULTANTS, INC. <br /> <br /> <br />Project: Haul Road Y-A <br />Location: Hayden, Colorado <br />Ctient: Seneca Coal Company <br />Work Performed: <br />Project No.: 95-2384 <br />Report No.: 7 <br />Date: 8118/95 <br />Time: 1.5 <br />Mileage: 44 <br />EngrJTeeh: JK <br />As requested, we visited the project site and conducted nuclear density test No.'s 23 and 24 on the material being <br />placed for subgrade fill. <br />At the time of our visit, the contractor had been cutting on-site borrow material from North of the haul road from <br />Sta. 4+00 to Sta. 7+00 and placing and compacting material from Sta. 7+00 to Sta. 10+00. <br />Remarks: <br />The material tested generally met project specifications with moisture contents being within 3.1 % of optimum. A <br />sample was obtained from the area of test #24 and returned to our laboratory for checkpoint Proctor <br />determination. The results did not match any previous curve for this project therefore a Standard Proctor (#3) and <br />classification test was performed. <br />Please refer to the attached sheet for results of today's testing. <br />Verbal Discussions: <br />Chuck McCulloh of Seneca Coal Co. was notified of today's test results. <br /> <br />
