Hellner, Reclamation Specialist <br />RE: File No. M-87-024, Corey Gravel Pit No. 3 <br />Adequacy Items <br />The following items must be addressed by the applicant in order to satisfy the <br />applicable requirements of C.R.S. 34-32-101 et seq. Mineral Rules and <br />Regulations of the Mined Land Reclamation Board <br />Exhibit C - Mining Plan <br />1. Please provide the volume of overburden needed for backfill of the south <br />face and the amount available. <br />2. What will be the maximum height of the face? <br />3. What is the depth of overburden? <br />4. The Division is concerned that further mining of the south face will <br />necessitate disturbing acreage outside your permit boundary during <br />reclamation. Please provide a map which would show the current location <br />of the mine face in relation to the permit area and the location to <br />which the south face can advance and still be reclaimed within the <br />permit boundary. The maximum point to which mining can advance should <br />be located and staked. <br />5. How will adjacent drainages be protected against erosion? <br />6. Topsoil stockpiles stored longer than one growing season should be <br />graded to slopes no steeper than 3H:1V and seeded with a perennial cover. <br />Exhibit D - Reclamation Plan <br />1. How will the site be protected from grazing after seeding? <br />2. How much topsoil will placed on the pit floor and slopes? <br />Exhibit E - Map <br />1. Please provide a scale on the Exhibit E - Map. Please provide to scale <br />a visible, locatable, and permanent reference point on the map.
