i• <br />V-Ditch Design Notes <br />V-Ditch designs are presented on the following pages Exh8-29, 29i and 29iii <br />2. V-Ditches are designed using Manning's equation with a constant n=0.03. <br />3. V-Ditches are to be constructed using the depth under minimum grade shown in <br />the tables plus 0.3 feet freeboard. <br />4. Flow depths shown on the tables do not include 0.3 feet freeboard. <br />5. The SEDCAD utility program was used to size rip-rap for ditches with a flow <br />velocity of 6.0 fUsec or greater. The Simon/OSM -Steep Slope Design and <br />Pader Method were both used to size the riprap.
