EXHIBIT B
' Mining Plan
' The current operator of this clay mine began his operation in 1971. The
area mined since 1976 is indicated on the mining plan map.
Production quantities for the years 1973-1976 were used to determine area
projection required for the mi
' 1973
1974
' 1975
1976
ling plan. They are as follows
- 6298 Tons
- 3800 Tons
- 1585 Tons
- 2067 Tons
The operator has indicated z projected recovery rate of approximately
3440 tons per year. The average overburden is 84'6 comprised primarily cf 1
' foot of topsoil underlain by an average of 14.5 feet of sandstone and 34 feet
of soft clay. Maximum pit depths are on the order of 35 feet. At the above
' recovery rate it is projected that one to ene and one-half surface acres per
t year will be disturbed.
' ~ail.ding.~~0n@ ars;.~e~~t~:V,~;.#t:t would not require disturbance of additional
acreage as those are spoil products of clay mining, No mining of these ma-
' terials per se has taken place znd none have been marketed to date.
T~'~#:~~.an will .,'~ ~'" .. ,~;,,;,..:.Stogk- ~
' pi~R~~,st~il. Occasional blasting may be required to break up a
sandstone cap before it can be removed and stockpiled for later use as fill.
' ~~~;:zs:3~.tir,~~.~-a~~.~vck:ovt•.area-.';:`k~9,ti'~n?'b~ttb~b~:'~~~iq'~.
(~-'~,u.~gasi~_:p1 The clay will be excavated to an approximate maximum
depth of 35 feet by front end loader which places the material in dump trucks
' for delivery to a processing site in Florence operated by Colorado kefractories
Corp. No water usage is anticipated at the mine site and little surface or
,' ground water is retained except for short periods after heavy rains.
