After seeding, a mulch of straw or manure at 4000#/acre will be applied.
This mulch will be anchored in place by means of a crimper or a tackifier,
such as asphalt, which is applied with the mulch. The use of a crimper will
depend on the amount of crushed rock that occurs in the regraded surface layers.
After mulching is complete, shrubs and trees will be planted adjacent to
the base of the 1 to 1 slopes for erosion control and aesthetics. Either 3 or
' 4 types of shrubs will be planted in one spot at 9 to 10 foot spacings; and
single trees will be planted at 10 to 12 foot spacings. Scattered plantings
of additional shrubs on the S to 1 slopes will also be done.
