5. The entire drill pad area will be re-seeded using an approved USFS seed mix. <br />The following seed mix is a seed mix that has been approved by the USFS for <br />drill sites on adjacent lands: <br />Species <br />PLS Ib/Acre <br />Mountain Brome - Bromus marginatus 5 <br />Prairiejunegrass - Koelaria cristata 4 <br />Slender Wheatgrass -Agropyron trachycaul:tm 4 <br />Blue Bunchgrass -Agropyron spicatum 4 <br />Sandburg bluegrass - Poa sandhurgii 4 <br />This seed mixture will be a minimum of 90 percent pure live seed and <br />applied at the rate of 40 pounds per acre. <br />6. The pad areas will be fertilized (30-0-0, minimum NPK), seeded with the <br />approved seed mix, and mulched (certified weed-free straw). <br />7. The access roads will be restored as closely as possible to the approximate <br />original contour, re-seeded, fertilized, and mulched as above. <br />8. The drill pads and access roads reclamation procedure outlined above will <br />apply only to those areas newly disturbed for this proposed project. Existing <br />roads will be lefr in a condition equal to or better than that observed on <br />Mountain Coal Company's entry into the area or to the satisfaction of the <br />USFS representative. <br />9. Any coal recovered incidental to this project will be in the form of cuttings or <br />core and would either be taken back to the mine site or disposed of in the mud <br />pits. <br />ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE <br />The road construction is expected to commence as soon as approval is granted by the <br />USFS and CDMG. Duration of the project will be a function of the success of the initial <br />drilling, monitoring, and effectiveness of de-gassing. Subsequent drilling should occur <br />throughout the next several months. In order to ensure drilling for Panel 15, complete this <br />"drilling season", more than one drilling unit may be employed. <br />MEASURES TO BE USED TO COMPLY WITH PERFORMANCE STANDARDS <br />FOR THE PROJECT (43 CFR 3484.1(a), 30 CFR 815.15, and Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology Rules and Regulations) <br />1. Operator shall comply with applicable requirements of surface management <br />agency, 30 CFR 815.15, or approved State program. <br />
