SHELTON, Director ~~
Richard D. Lamm
Governor
October 24, 1985
Mr. Harold A. Winter
Route 2, Box 222
Trinidad, Colorado 81082
RE: Winter Ranch Gravel Pit - File No. M-85-165
Dear Mr. Winter:
On October 21, 1985, I received the copy of your publication in the
above-captioned matter and found it to be acceptable. Please send us a copy
of the publisher's affidavit when it is available. You are correct in your
judgment that you do not need to notify any nearby landowners if your own land
entirely surrounds the permit area.
On October 23, 1985, the Mined Land Reclamation Division approved your request
for a continuance of consideration of the 110 permit application for this
operation until the November meeting of the Board. Due to some scheduling
difficulties, the precise date of this meeting is not yet fixed, but it should
occur between November 18, 1985 and November 25, 1985. However, if we can
resolve the adequacy questions outlined in my letter of October 16, 1985, this
application should be able to be considered as a "no problem" matter and you
will not need to be present at the meeting. In any case, please respond to my
letter at your earliest convenience such that this application will be ready
for Board approval during the scheduled meeting.
Please call me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
"/ Yom- s+~
Mark S.
