• CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS <br />The following construction specifications will be utilized during the <br />construction of proposed sedimentation ponds and diversion ditches for <br />the Kerr Mine: <br />- Compaction of fill material to 903 of maximum dry density <br />- Fill material placement in continuous thin horizontal lifts <br />- Suitable fill material shall be used based on the following <br />criteria <br />- Material less than 6 inches in size <br />- Material contains no organic, frozen or topsoil material <br />- Material contains no coal <br />- Addition of moisture as necessary to maintain specified <br />• maximum density <br />- Placement and compaction of material around spillway conduit <br />to ensure continuity of compaction throughout the embanlanent <br /> <br />23-53 <br />
