Specific designs for the major permanent channels are included within the
Rill and Gully Plan, the 1985 September rill and gully submittal, and Permit
Revision No. 2. Described drainages are shown on Map 28-3, Existing and
Potential Permanent Drainageway Locations, found in Exhibit 28, Rill and
Gully Plan. All approved existing and potential permanent channels are shown
on these maps. Only those channels which follow the contour in valley
bottoms are approved for permanent status. All other constructed channels
which are necessary for erosion control will be diversion ditches.
Part 4: Permanent Drainageway Maintenance Plan
Each year following spring runoff, a survey of all permanent drainageways
will be conducted. As approved, repair will be initiated as soon as weather
and soil moisture conditions permit. Repair work will be done when down
cutting within permanent drainageways averages greater than three (3) feet.
Repairs will be completed prior to winter. They will include backfilling,
seeding, and/or increase in check dam density, and rip-rap when necessary.
•
Permit Renewal 780-129-4 Revised 02/01/88
