It's not because of wages or catch. <br />It's because they've been living in <br />harmony with the environment for the past 300 years. <br />As stated in a report by the EPA in <br />August of '87, there is much that can be done to <br />prevent mining wastes from turning into environmental <br />problems. <br />Among the most effective prevention <br />technique is to locate waste sites away from <br />streams so that the likelihood of surface water <br />contamination is reduced. Once a problem has <br />developed, it may be near impossible to remedy it. <br />I have some more technical things that <br />I'm concerned about. <br />The collection system between the two <br />pads, the actual monitoring device, as I understand <br />it, will be located under the first pad in the center <br />and there will be drainages collecting all of that, <br />whatever leaks from the first pad down into this <br />system, so that really the monitoring leak system <br />does not cover 100 percent underneath the whole <br />
