ROCH: My name is Donna Koch, and <br />I'm a Costilla County nurse, and I can say this on <br />behalf of myself and Crystal Brandt, the other nurse <br />for the county. <br />We are very concerned about the health <br />(effects of having the mine as far as toxic wastes and <br />for cyanide -- first of all, our population is very, <br />very top heavy elderly, and it's because we have <br />~a depressed economy and the young people can't find <br />work there and they leave, so we have a lot of <br />elderly. <br />I mean I personally see people in <br />their nineties on a daily basis. Cyanide -- these <br />people are more susceptible to cyanide, even small <br />amounts of cyanide. We still don't know what the <br />
