1. Minimum air quantities shall be as follows:
at working faces: 10,000 cfm
at idle faces: Proper volume as to maintain methane to less
than 18 as required by 75.308
at the last open crosscut: 15,000 cfm
at the intake end of the pillar line' 15,000 cfm
2. The minimum mean entry air velocity in the working face~'~c:.
shall be 60 ft/min.
3. The maximum distance the line curtain is maintained from the~•~~
point of deepest penetration of the face shall be: 30 feet`'.;
for working faces, 30 ft. for idle faces.
9. The following water spray systems will be used to control

Water sprays shall be turned on prior to the start of, the':
cut. Water sprays of a Ean spray system will be directed to
the left or the right side on which the face ventilation is
installed.
See Page 2G for a spray schematic of the continuous miner
listed above showing the location of the minimum number of
water sprays to be maintained and operated in each area
(bank) of the equipment.
Other controls or practices:
1. Haulage and supply roads will be in a damp or compact :~
condition to maintain the average concentration of res=~`
pirable dust at or below 2.0mg/m3 of air.
