• 2.0 OBJECTIVES <br />This wildlife baseline study focused on updating existing information and <br />gathering supplemental site-specific data concerning the following four <br />principal issues: <br />• Identification of important concentration, migration, or production <br />areas for mule deer, elk, sage grouse, blue grouse, and waterfowl. <br />• Presence and status, or potential for the occurrence of state or <br />federally-listed threatened or endangered species. <br />• Identification of nesting or other high priority of nesting habitats <br />for eagles, falcons, and other migratory birds of high federal <br />interest. <br />• Identification and characterization of, regionally important wildlife <br />habitats such as riparian and wetland areas. <br />Literature review and field study efforts were designed to ensure <br />• compilation of a comprehensive and up-to-date data base for the Danforth <br />Hills leases which is adequate to address all applicable state and federal <br />regulatory requirements. Methods which were employed to achieve these <br />objectives are described in the following sections. <br />• <br />2-I <br />
