• approximate depth of 5U feet using a Central Mine Equipment Drill No. 45
or its equivalent. The truck-mounted drill will be driven to sites 1,
4, 5, 6 and 7 on existing roads as shown on Attachment A. No
improvements to these roads will be necessary. In order to access sites
2, 3, 8 and 9 a trail will be brushed to the sites. Vegetation will be
brushed to ground level to allow passage of the rig. No topsoil will be
stripped. No drill pads or mud pits will be necessary.
Holes 1, 2, 4, 6 and 7 will backfilled with cuttings. Holes 3, 5, 8 and
9 are anticipated at this time to be completed as water monitoring
wells. They will be cased and gravel-packed and sealed with a bentonite
seal and cap at the top to prevent surface water inflow. These four
wells will each be marked by three painted fence posts. Well permits,
• if necessary, will be obtained from the Colorado State Engineer' s office
prior to usage.
Bond for the reclamation of these water monitoring wells will be posted
as part of the reclamation costs for the refuse disposal site.
• -3 -
