WELL SEALING ESTIMATING -LABORER WORK (SINGLE SHIFT) TASK 19 <br />• TASK DESCRIPTION - Seal groundwater monitoring well GW - 1 <br />Laborers to hand mix concrete and fill entire depth of well. <br />DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK <br />Well GW-1, located 3 miles north of the mine is the only monitoring <br />well that will be reclaimed with the McClave Canyon Mine. All other <br />monitoring wells are under the Munger Canyon Permit. The well is about <br />100 feet off of the road. Plan to park on the road and carry materials <br />to the well. This site is no longer accessible with vehicles. The <br />laborer will drive to the site in a pickup. The well casing will be <br />removed to three feet from the ground surtace. The remaining PVC <br />casing will be left in the hole. The entire hole will be filled with <br />cement that is mixed onsite by hand. Water from East Salt Creek will <br />be used to mix the cement. <br />GW - 1 Dimensions Diameter = 3.0 inches <br />Depth = 18.5 feet <br />Volume = 2.9 cubic feet <br />Use bagged concrete @ 0.75 cubic feet per bag <br />Need 2.9 / 0.75 = 3.87 bags USE 4 bags <br />Cost per bag = $3.00 Total material cost = $12.00 <br />LABOR COST assume 4 hours to complete task <br />cost per hour = $23.00 Total labor cost = $92.00 <br />TOTAL COST TO SEAL GW -1 $104.00 <br /> <br />Mc VOL 1 - Tbl 3.7-1 TASK 19 11 - 19 - 98 <br />
