Box 446
Craig, Colorado 81626
Re: ROCK PIT, File No. M-85-082
Dear Messers Kney and Levkulich:
We have reviewed your Limited Impact Permit Application for adequacy with the
Minerals Law and promulgated rules and regulations. During this review, a
number of questions and concerns were raised, which are addressed below.
As addressed in an earlier correspondence, this application is scheduled
before the Mined Land Reclamation Bard for consideration at their August
21-22, 1985 meeting. So that we can review your replies, it is imperative
that you respond back point-by-point to the following by August 14, 1985. (As
addressed in our July 26, 1985, the board will waive $1,000.00 in civil
penalties if this application is considered by the Board at their August
meeting. Therefore, it is necessary that you respond by August 14th to insure
your application is not held up.)
Exhibit B - Mining Plan
1. Will the proposed permit boundaries be staked? If not, how will you
insure all operations remain within the nine acre permit boundary? -~y-e-
aou,vda~ies will be- /~w7" k Prror Fo r+.:r.rr9•
2. Prior to any mining, topsoil must be salvaged. To what depth will this
medium be salvaged for future reclamation purposes? Where will this stockpile
be located? If the stockpile is to remain for more than one growing season,
it must be sloped (to no steeper than 3h:ly) and seeded to protect the soil
from degradation. -~ ~y~ s7`ac,fr~1/e. wi /1 Ge loe~f~J /j ~/} -
cewo.c, 1;'r o.n Yrf.~ A~, ,'w in' oPrr., >`i on. ioP soil tui/l Seedod.
3.
