Fountain Colony Pit.
File !1 M-87-171
Dear Mr. Dillie:
I discussed with Mr. Von Engeln the matter of attaching the bond to some kind disturbance on
the site. In light of this need and the nature of the immediate future of this site, Mr. Von
Engeln desires to commit [o a maximum of 1 acre of disturbance in the form of minor
excavations, probably with a backhoe. This disturbance area limit includes associated access
disturbances, if any. However, it is not expected that access would require any road
construction or other types of disturbance beyond what would occur by simply driving over the
existing vegetation. That type of disturbance would probably not require any reclamation.
This amount seems consistent with the purpose of the reaffirmation action that has been
requested. It will allow a sufficient amount of disturbance so anyone who is interested in the
site and desires to confirm for themselves the nature and extent of the deposit to do so. It is
further understood that any amount of disturbance required beyond this 1 acre total would
require an increase in the bond.
If you have any questions, please call.
Respectfully,
%/~ ~j~i~af~
Mark A.
