liability period, TCC will maintain the road for monitoring purposes. After bond release, the land owner will resume
responsibility for the road. The northern short section (2,500 feet) of the access road will be reclaimed unless approved
• otherwise by CMLRD.
Rockdust Tank
After removal of the rockdust tank and cement pad, the pit run gravel of the truck access/unloading area will be
dispersed across the .5 acres of disturbance. The area will be ripped before the stockpiled topsoil is reapplied.
Mine Fan
Upon completion of mining, the fan and motor will be removed from the foundation and taken from the site. This will
involve unbolting the fan and motor from their respective foundations. The pre-engineered building will be tom down
and buried in the pit. The duct work and concrete pad or footers will be left in place and buried during reclamation of
the portal azea.
In reference to the transformer, it will be removed from its pad and removed from the site. The additional power poles
will be knocked down and pushed into the portal excavation azea during reclamation activities. Likewise, the
transformer pad will be pushed into portal area during reclamation activities.
Coal Handline Svstem
The coal-handling system is part of the mine surface facilities and site reclamation (gading, drainage restoration,
soil replacement, and revegetation) will be completed in conjunction with overall reclamation of the surface
facilities azea. Significant additional rough gading will not be required to address reclamation of the coal handling
system. Prior to rough gading the coal handling facilities areas, all usable coal-handling equipment will be
removed and salvaged, and the ROM Stacker Tube, Sampling Station, Primary and Secondary Crusher Buildings,
• Sample Building, and associated conveyors and related structures will be dismantled and removed from the site or
demolished. The top and upper portion of the sides of the ROM Reclaim Tunnel and lateral structures will be
broken-up and placed into the tunnels. ARer removal or demolition of the buildings, structwes, and conveyors, the
related concrete foundations will be demolished. Any concrete or structural debris resulting from demolition of the
coal-handling facilities and related foundations will either be placed in the mine portal area and buried, or disposed
of off-site. The associated disturbance areas will then be backfilled and rough-gaded to blend with surrounding
terrain. In conjunction with site regading, any surplus fill material not required to establish the design postmining
configuration will either be hauled back to one of the original borrow sites, or if suitable material, may be used as
cover for the Coa] Refuse Pile. Topsoil will be replaced on the regaded areas from the designated topsoil
stockpiles, and the areas will be reseeded with the approved revegetation seed mixture.
The Overland Conveyor access corridor will be ripped to a depth of approximately 24 inches and the windrowed
topsoil will be redistributed over the corridor. The redistributed topsoil will be seeded with the rangeland seed
mixture. The drive building will be dismantled and either removed from the site or hauled to the portal azea for
burial. The foundation materials will be handled in the same manner.
Washolants I and II
The coal-handling system is part of the mine surface facilities and site reclamation (gading, drainage restoration,
soil replacement, and revegetation) will be completed in conjunction with overall reclamation of the surface
facilities area. When no longer required, all usable coal processing equipment will be removed and salvaged, and
the Crushing/Screening and Washplant Buildings and associated conveyors and related structures will be
dismantled and removed from the site or demolished. The structures to be removed include the Crushing/Screening
Building; Washplant I and the related clean coal, stoker, and refuse conveyors and structures (includes Thickener
Tank and Refuse Bin); Washplant II and the related clean coal, stoker, and refuse conveyors and structures
.(includes Thickener Tank and Refuse Bin); and the Washplant Sub-Station, and the associated power distribution
MR07-216 2.05-102 05/28/07
