VanSlyke, Supervising Geologist ~r~i- <br />Colorado Division of Water Resources <br />SUBJECT: Transit Mix Concrete Company, Daniels Sand Pit 2, File No. M-73-007SG <br />Section 3, T15S, R66W, 6th PM <br />Water Division 2, Water District 10 <br />We have reviewed the application for the Transit Mix Concrete Co., Daniels Sand Pit 2, as <br />per your request of July 30, 1992. The application is to conduct mining of sand and gravel <br />and to reclaim the area. The application states that no groundwater will be intercepted <br />in the operation. Existing commercial wells will be utilized for washing operations.We, <br />therefore, recommend that the application be approved. Should the mining result in the <br />exposure of ground water the atmosphere, a well permit must be obtained from this office <br />and a court approved water supply plan must be prepared. <br />Please contact this office if you have any additional questions. <br />cc: Steve Witte, Division Engineer <br />Becky Nichols, Water Commissioner <br />
