COAL GOLCH BASIN WATER RIGBTS <br />Eight water rights have been decreed in the Coal Gulch Basin <br />as shown on Table 6. A review of these water rights (see Appendix <br />IV-A) indicates that 3.745 cfs have been decreed for irrigation <br />and 0.372 cfs have been decreed for domestic, industrial, <br />stockwater and other uses. Table 8 lists the priority ranking of <br />Coal Gulch Stream water rights. Review of ASCS 1975 aerial <br />photographs indicates approximately 62 acres of land are irrigated <br />by ditches in Coal Gulch Basin. Similarly, the Water Commissioner <br />has recorded a total of 60 acres under irrigation in Coal Gulch <br />Basin during 1982 as shown in Table 7. <br />• Review of diversion records (see Appendix IV-B) indicates <br /> that the Drake-Campbell Ditch has not been used since 1969 and <br />only two recorded flows into the Welborn Ditch have occurred. <br />Since Welborn Ditch was constructed to supplement water from <br />Terror Ditch (see Terror Creek Basin), it is possible that little <br />water is needed from this low priority source. <br />Only the Train Loadout Well No. 1 has a conditional decree <br />within Coal Gulch Basin. <br />• <br />IV-2 <br />
