04021 <br />Exhibit J -Vegetation Information <br />Banks and Gesso. LLC <br />(This exhibit was prepared for Asphalt Paving Company by Coler & Colantonio, Inc.) <br />The majority of the site is vegetated with either row crops such as corn and beans, or <br />alfalfa. The northern portion of the site is currently planted with traditional row crops and <br />is flood irrigated. The southwestern portion of the site consists of an alfalfa (Medicago <br />sativa) field. The southeastern portion of the site is not currently in crop production and <br />has been fallow for some time. The southeastern portion of the site is vegetated with <br />mostly non-native plants with some native plants. There are some relatively small areas <br />of cottonwood (Populus deltoides) trees on-site. <br />Common vegetation on-site consists of: <br />• western wheatgrass (Pascopyrum smithit) <br />• cheatgrass (Bromus tectorum) <br />• sandbar willow (Salix exigua) <br />• goosefoot (Chenopodium album) <br />• cottonwood (Populus deltoides) <br />• curly dock (Rumex crispus) <br />• reed canarygrass (Phalaris arundinacea) <br />• smooth brome (Bromus inermis). <br />Predominant vegetation in the north end near the easUcentral property boundary area is <br />reed canarygrass (FACW). To the west of this area consists of a stock pond and <br />surrounding wetlands. Predominant vegetation in this area consists of reed canarygrass <br />(FACW) and smartweed (Polygonum lapthifolium) (OBL). Predominant vegetation south <br />of this area consists of smartweed (OBL), goosefoot (FAC), sandbar willow (OBL) and <br />duckweed (Lemna spp) (OBL). The wetland plants present in an area east of the <br />previously mentioned area consist of sandbar willow (OBL), Canada thistle (Cirsium <br />arvense) (FACU), curly dock (FACW), and reed canarygrass (FACW). <br />Asphalt Paving Company October t 7, "LUU; <br />Wattenberg West Sand and Gravel Mine Page 21 <br />
