U4. 11, La F~lata Coal Corp. has <br />contacted representatives of the Colorado Divisinr~ of Wild- <br />life for• the purpose of nrinirnizing disturbance ar~d adverse <br />impacts ors the fish ar~d wildlife located ire the perrnit and <br />adjacent areas. Sorne of the surface facilities f-'or• the La <br />F~lata #1 have been in place for• rnar~y years; however, <br />ttrr•oughout the contir~~.red life of the mine, La F~lata Coal <br />Corp. plans to coordinate on a regular basis with all <br />interested r•egulator•y agencies to further the minimisation <br />of impacts ar~d er~har~cerner~t of wildlife reso~_rr•ces. <br />Rs described in Section 2.Cr4.11, r~u critical habitat or ar~y <br />• thr•eater~ed or• eridarigered species have been identified within <br />the perrnit r_,r ad,jacent areas which rnight be affectEtd by the <br />ruining operations. <br />The post-mining land use, as described ire Section c. VS. S, <br />will be rangeland and cropland. Inherent with the r•arigelar~d <br />use will be the cor~cur•r•ent use of the area by wildlife. The <br />seed mixture proposed in Section c.p,;.4 contains diversity <br />r•eq~_rir•ed for• wildlife which rnight use the perrnit area for• <br />habitat.
