<br />EXHIBIT D <br />Reclamation Plan <br />All finished slopes within the pit site will not exceed 3:1 in <br />slope. Topsoil will be placed on disturbed areas at minimum <br />depths of 6 inches to 12 inches. Seeding will be done in early Spring <br />or late Fall. Any area compacted by construction equipment or <br />haul vehicles will be scarified by a motor grader before any topsoil <br />placement begins on those areas. CS <br />It is anticipated that reclamation will be an ongoing process. `l ~ r~~,^~ <br />Topsoil will be stockpiled around the perimeter of the permited area. NV - <br />Since demand from this source is very difficult to predict, it <br />is hoped that reclamation of areas mined to full depth will be done <br />on a year to year basis. Thus reclamation will be an ongoing <br />process. <br />The topsoil will be disked prior to placement of seed. Seed will <br />be placed with a drill or handbroadcast if drilling is impossible. <br />... <br />If handbroadcast the seeding rate will be double of that if placed <br />with a drill. The following seed mixture will be used, rates are <br />drilled rates: <br />Species Variety PLS/acre <br />Western Wheatgrass <br />Blue Grama <br />Indian Ricegrass <br />Winter Fat <br />Crested Wheatgrass <br />Ro sana or Arriba <br />Covington <br />Paloma or Nezpar <br />Nordan <br />8.0 <br />0.9 <br />1.25 <br />1.0 <br />Fertilizer shall be placed so 40 lbs/acre available nitrogen <br />and 40 lbs/acre of P205 shall be placed prior to disking. Native <br />hay or straw shall be used for mulch. The mulch shall be placed <br />at the rate of 2 tons/acre and shall be crimped into the soil. <br />Existing drainage patterns will be maintained. No off site <br />water damage will occur due to these operations. <br />The applicant hereby agrees to provide a financial warranty <br />of $5,000.00. <br />
