This unit is moderately well suited to windbreaks and
envi-onmental plantings. The main limitations are slope,
drou~7htiness, and the hazard of water erosion, Planting on the
contour helps to conserve moisture. Summer fallow, con+,inued
cult vation for weed control, and selection of adapted plants are
need~ad to insure establishment and survival of seedling. Supplemental
irrigation may be needed when planting and during dry periods.
This unit is poorly suited to homesite development. If this unit
