Peregrines and Golden <br />eagles are not expected to be affected. <br />Recommendations <br />• In order to minimize adverse effects of the mine on fish and <br />wildlife or to mitigate them, the following procedures are recommended: <br />• ~ ~ Roads, on-site and throughout portions of the watershed controlled <br />by CFBI, should be constructed as sparingly and carefully as possible. <br />Standard specifications for avoiding steep slopes, providing proper <br />water drainage, treatment of road cuts and preventive maintenance should <br />be applied. Roads should be closed and seeded when they are no longer <br />needed. <br />All use of equipment that disturbs vegetation and soil should be <br />as limited as possible and measures should be applied to reduce re- <br />sultant erosion. This is particularly impor*.ant in the sen;iti~2 <br />riparian type aiohg the river, <br />Care in siting, developing and reclaiming refuse piles is extremely <br />important. Ultimately, these disposal areas occupy more terrestrial <br />• <br />
