Cloy content <br />begins to increase at approximately 2.0', some shale lenses with very <br />small amount of gypsum crystals and very small amount of calcareous <br />deposits, becornes lighter brown and sandy with depth after • <br />approximately 2.3'. <br />2.6 to 10.0 Sand, Sandstone Lenses, Shale Lenses -Light yellow to white, very fine <br />grained, friable to low hardness, sandstone lenses throughout, some <br />shale lenses decrease with depth. Notable color change of light gray <br />to white at 5.1' (may be broken up due to use of air to core). NOTE: <br />Used push barrel to 10', core bit after 10'. <br />10.0 to 19.8 Sandstone - Yellow to light yellow to gray black, very fine grained, <br />oTw to moderate hardness, some limonite staining, some calcareous <br />deposits, swirling pattems in part, good recovery, color darkens to <br />gray black at approximately 19.0', becomes shaley at approximately <br />19.8', very slight reaction to HCI. <br />19.8 to 22.9 Shale -Light gray/dark gray to black, friable to low hardness, some <br />frizility, some very fine to fine grained sand lenses intermixed, some <br />carbonaceous deposits in part, sand increases with depth at <br />approximately 22.7', no reaction to HCI. <br />22.9 to 28.5 Sandstone -Dark gray to light gray, very fine to fine grained, low to <br />moderate hardn,~ss, some swirling pattems in part, some carbonaceous <br />deposits in port, some shale lenses increase with depth, slight reaction <br />to HCI . <br />28.5 to 31.7 Sandstone -Light gray to dark gray, very fine grained to fine grained, • <br />shale content increases with depth, some carbonaceous deposits <br />swirling pattern in part, low to moderate hardness. <br />NOV 2 3 1981 <br />6-37c <br />
